The final cover design is here. Most picked the concept below. A platoon member, Don Ayres, took the photograph on the cover November 1969. I think it works well for the book!

I received three low-resolution Cover Concepts today. I emailed the beta readers with them attached to get their feedback. I don't like the first one at all so it is not displayed. If you have any comments about what you like or dislike please post it here. I need to email recommended changes to the designer next week. Decisions, decisions, decisions!
I took my author photograph today and should receive the finished version Friday; thank you, Shannon Prothro. What a great photographer and easy to work with!
I am getting excited. My new book When I Turned Nineteen: A Vietnam War Memoir is now at the editors. Plus the first round of the front cover design should be done this week.
